Reactuate (verb):  (ree akt' choo eyt) (origin ca 2006-2007;  from the ML reactuatere meaning adaptation for improvement or survival); Definitions:  (1) to react to an environment in a manner that provides a useful function and/or result.  (2) To adapt inherently to change in order to provide increased value, capability, or an improved chance for survival.   

Example 1:  My new athletic clothes and shoes reactuate, so I perform better and enjoy my activities more. 

Example 2:  My house is built with materials that reactuate, so I save money on my heating and cooling bills.
